The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us a choice, and we chose him, and he did not consider that anything against us.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن مسلم عن مسروق
خيرنا رسول الله ﷺ فاخترناه فلم نره شيئا
Takhrij (source references): Bukhari transmitted it in the chapters on Talaq, in the chapter of one who gives his wives the choice, etc, hadith no. 5262, and Muslim transmitted it in the chapters on Talaq, in the chapter clarifying that giving one's wife the choice is not a divorce unless accompanied by intention, hadith no. 28/1477, from the hadith of Amash.
