We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a funeral, and he saw some people who had cast off their cloaks and were walking in only their shirts. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Are you adopting the practice of the Days of Ignorance, or imitating the ways of the Days of Ignorance? I was about to call down a supplication against you that would return you in a form other than your own."So they took up their cloaks and never did that again.

Its chain is fabricated. Tabarani narrated it in 18/239, 240, no. 601, from the hadith of Ahmad bin Abdah (in the original it is "Ubayda," but by him) and Busiri graded it daif.Nafi bin Harith, Abu Dawud the blind, was called a liar by Ibn Main and Saji and others. Ibn Abdul-Barr said, "They agreed on his weakness, and some of them called him a liar, and they agreed on abandoning narration from him" (Tahdhib al-Tahdhib).And Ali bin Hazwar's hadith is to be abandoned, as Nasai said.
