The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The imam should not pray in the same spot where he performed the obligatory prayer until he moves away from it."Kathir bin Ubayd al-Himsi narrated to us, Baqiyyah narrated to us, from Abu Abdul-Rahman al-Tamimi, from Uthman bin Ata, from his father, from Mughira, from the Prophet ﷺ, a similar report.

Its chain of transmission is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in his chapter on Prayer, in the section "The Imam Performing Voluntary Prayer in His Place," hadith no. 616, through another route from Ata, with the same wording. He said that Ata Khurasani did not meet Mughira bin Shuba, so the chain is disconnected. However, it has corroborating narrations, so the hadith is hasan.
