The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade three things, pecking like a crow, crouching like a beast of prey, and a man taking a fixed spot for his prayer the way a camel takes its fixed resting place.
[Its takhrij, isnad hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on the prayer of one who does not straighten his back in ruku and sujud, no. 862, through another route from Abu Abdul-Hameed Jafar bin Abdullah Ansari, with the same wording. Ibn Khuzayma, Ibn Hibban, Hakim, and Dhahabi graded it sahih.Tamim is deemed trustworthy by the majority, and the judgment affirming his reliability is the stronger view.
