I lost track of the Prophet ﷺ one night, so I went out searching for him, and I found him at al-Baqi with his head raised toward the sky.He said, "Ayesha, were you afraid that Allah and His Messenger would wrong you?"I replied, "I did say something, but it was not that. I thought you had gone to one of your other wives."He said, "Allah, the Most High, descends on the night of mid-Shaban to the lowest heaven and forgives more people than the number of hairs on the sheep of Kalb."
حدثنا عبدة بن عبد الله الخزاعي ومحمد بن عبد الملك أبو بكر قالا حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أنبأنا حجاج عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن عروة
فقدت النبي ﷺ ذات ليلة فخرجت أطلبه فإذا هو بالبقيع رافع رأسه إلى السماء فقال يا عائشة أكنت تخافين أن يحيف الله عليك ورسوله قالت قد قلت وما بي ذلك ولكني ظننت أنك أتيت بعض نسائك فقال إن الله تعالى ينزل ليلة النصف من شعبان إلى السماء الدنيا فيغفر لأكثر من عدد شعر غنم كلب
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Tirmidhi transmitted it, Fasting, chapter on what has been said regarding the night of the middle of Shaban, no. 739, from the hadith of Yazid, with the same wording, and he said, "I heard Muhammad (Bukhari) weaken this hadith," and he said, "Yahya did not hear from Urwa, and Hajjaj bin Artah did not hear from Yahya bin Abu Kathir."
