The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When it is the night of the middle of Shaban, spend its night in prayer and fast its day, for Allah descends at sunset to the lowest heaven and says, 'Is there anyone seeking forgiveness, that I may forgive him? Is there anyone seeking provision, that I may provide for him? Is there anyone afflicted, that I may grant him relief? Is there such and such? Is there such and such?' until dawn breaks."

[Its chain is fabricated] Mizzi narrated it in Tahzib Kamal (33/107, biography of Ibn Abu Sabra) through the hadith of Hasan bin Ali with the same wording. Busiri said, its chain is daif due to the weakness of Ibn Abu Sabra, whose name is Abu Bakr bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Abu Sabra. Ahmad bin Hanbal and Ibn Main said of him that he fabricates hadith, and Ibn Rajab declared him daif in Lataif Maarif.Ibrahim bin Muhammad is unknown, and he may be Ibn Abu Yahya, who is abandoned as a narrator. See Tahzib and others.
