He was a companion of the Prophet. He said, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever abandons the Friday prayer three times out of negligence will have his heart sealed."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس ويزيد بن هارون ومحمد بن بشر قالوا حدثنا محمد بن عمرو حدثني عبيدة بن سفيان الحضرمي
وكان له صحبة قال قال النبي ﷺ من ترك الجمعة ثلاث مرات تهاونا بها طبع على قلبه
[Its chain is hasan]. Abu Dawud, Prayer, chapter on the severity concerning the abandonment of Friday prayer, no. 1052, narrated it from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr, through him. Tirmidhi graded it hasan, and Ibn Khuzayma, Ibn Hibban, Hakim, and Dhahabi graded it sahih.
