"Oh, my head!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That would be while I am still alive, so I could seek forgiveness for you and pray for you."Ayesha replied, "Oh, what a loss! By Allah, I think you wish for my death, and if that were to happen, you would spend the rest of that day as a newlywed with one of your wives."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Rather, it is I who should say, 'Oh, my head!' I had thought, or intended, to send for Abu Bakr and his son and entrust the matter to him, lest those who would speak should say something, or those who would wish should wish for something. Then I said, Allah refuses and the believers prevent it, or Allah prevents it and the believers refuse."
حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى أخبرنا سليمان بن بلال عن يحيى بن سعيد سمعت القاسم بن محمد قال قالت
وارأساه فقال رسول الله ﷺ ذاك لو كان وأنا حي فأستغفر لك وأدعو لك فقالت عائشة وا ثكلياه والله إني لأظنك تحب موتي ولو كان ذاك لظللت آخر يومك معرسا ببعض أزواجك فقال النبي ﷺ بل أنا وارأساه لقد هممت أو أردت أن أرسل إلى أبي بكر وابنه فأعهد أن يقول القائلون أو يتمنى المتمنون ثم قلت يأبى الله ويدفع المؤمنون أو يدفع الله ويأبى المؤمنون
