An Arabi came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Pledge allegiance to me upon Islam." So he pledged allegiance to him upon Islam.He came back the next day stricken with fever and said, "Release me from my pledge."The Prophet ﷺ refused. When the man turned away, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Madinah is like a furnace. It expels its impurities and brings out the purity of what is good in it."
حدثنا أبو نعيم حدثنا سفيان عن محمد بن المنكدر سمعت
جاء أعرابي إلى النبي ﷺ فقال بايعني على الإسلام فبايعه على الإسلام ثم جاء الغد محموما فقال أقلني فأبى فلما ولى قال المدينة كالكير تنفي خبثها وينصع طيبها
