The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the night prayer one evening, this being before Islam had spread widely. He did not come out until Umar said, "The women and children have fallen asleep."Then he came out and said to the people in the mosque, "No one on earth is waiting for this prayer except you."
حدثنا يحيى بن بكير قال حدثنا الليث عن عقيل عن ابن شهاب عن عروة أن
أعتم رسول الله ﷺ ليلة بالعشاء وذلك قبل أن يفشو الإسلام فلم يخرج حتى قال عمر نام النساء والصبيان فخرج فقال لأهل المسجد ما ينتظرها أحد من أهل الأرض غيركم
