The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When night begins to fall, or when evening comes, hold your children back, for the devils spread out at that time. When an hour of the night has passed, you may release them. Shut your doors and mention the name of Allah, for Satan cannot open a closed door. Fasten your waterskins and mention the name of Allah. Cover your vessels and mention the name of Allah, even if you only place something across them. And put out your lamps."
حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور أخبرنا روح بن عبادة أخبرنا ابن جريج قال أخبرني عطاء أنه سمع
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا كان جنح الليل أو أمسيتم فكفوا صبيانكم فإن الشياطين تنتشر حينئذ فإذا ذهب ساعة من الليل فحلوهم فأغلقوا الأبواب واذكروا اسم الله فإن الشيطان لا يفتح بابا مغلقا وأوكوا قربكم واذكروا اسم الله وخمروا آنيتكم واذكروا اسم الله ولو أن تعرضوا عليها شيئا وأطفئوا مصابيحكم
