An uncle of mine named Abu Burda sacrificed his animal before the prayer, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Your sheep is just a sheep for meat."He replied, "Messenger of Allah, I have a young domestic she-goat at home."The Prophet said, "Slaughter it, but it will not be valid for anyone other than you." Then he said, "Whoever slaughters before the prayer is only slaughtering for himself, and whoever slaughters after the prayer has completed his sacrificial rite and has followed the practice of the Muslims."Ubayda corroborated this from Shaybi and Ibrahim. Waki also corroborated it from Hurayth from Shaybi. Asim and Dawud reported from Shaybi with the wording, "I have a young milk goat." Zubayd and Firas reported from Shaybi with the wording, "I have a yearling." Abu Ahwas said, Mansur narrated to us with the wording, "a yearling kid." Ibn Awn reported it as "a young kid" and "a milk kid."

ضحى خال لي يقال له أبو بردة قبل الصلاة فقال له رسول الله ﷺ شاتك شاة لحم فقال يا رسول الله إن عندي داجنا جذعة من المعز قال اذبحها ولن تصلح لغيرك ثم قال من ذبح قبل الصلاة فإنما يذبح لنفسه ومن ذبح بعد الصلاة فقد تم نسكه وأصاب سنة المسلمين تابعه عبيدة عن الشعبي وإبراهيم وتابعه وكيع عن حريث عن الشعبي وقال عاصم وداود عن الشعبي عندي عناق لبن وقال زبيد وفراس عن الشعبي عندي جذعة وقال أبو الأحوص حدثنا منصور عناق جذعة وقال ابن عون عناق جذع عناق لبن
