The Prophet ﷺ gave him some sheep to distribute among his companions as sacrificial animals. A young goat was left over, so he mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "Sacrifice it yourself."
حدثنا عمرو بن خالد حدثنا الليث عن يزيد عن أبي الخير
أن النبي ﷺ أعطاه غنما يقسمها على صحابته ضحايا فبقي عتود فذكره للنبي ﷺ فقال ضح أنت به
