I said to Ibn Umar, "What about a man who accuses his wife of adultery?"He replied, "The Prophet ﷺ separated the two siblings of Banu Ajlan. He said, 'Allah knows that one of you is lying. Will either of you repent?' But they both refused. He said again, 'Allah knows that one of you is lying. Will either of you repent?' Again they refused. He said once more, 'Allah knows that one of you is lying. Will either of you repent?' They refused, so he separated them."Ayub said, Amr bin Dinar said to me, "There is something in the hadith that I do not see you relating. The man said, 'What about my property?' He was told, 'You have no claim to your property. If you were truthful, you have already consummated the marriage with her, and if you were lying, then it is even further removed from you.'"
