Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

We set out on the expedition of al-Khabat under the command of Abu Ubayda. We suffered severe hunger, then the sea cast out a dead fish the like of which we had never seen, called al-Anbar. We ate from it for half a month. Abu Ubayda took one of its bones, and a rider passed beneath it.Abu Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir say, Abu Ubayda told us, "Eat."When we arrived in Medina, we mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "Eat the provision that Allah has brought forth. Feed us some of it if you have any with you."So one of them brought him some, and he ate it.
