Abu Hurairah reported,

Abu Bakr al-Siddiq sent him during the pilgrimage that the Prophet ﷺ had appointed him to lead before the Farewell Pilgrimage, on the Day of Sacrifice, along with a group of men, to make a public proclamation to the people that after this year no polytheist would perform the pilgrimage and no one would circumambulate the House while naked.

أن أبا بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه بعثه في الحجة التي أمره النبي ﷺ عليها قبل حجة الوداع يوم النحر في رهط يؤذن في الناس لا يحج بعد العام مشرك ولا يطوف بالبيت عريان
