A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "The donkeys have been eaten."The Prophet remained silent.Then the man came a second time and said, "The donkeys have been eaten."The Prophet remained silent.Then he came a third time and said, "The donkeys have been wiped out."So the Prophet ordered an announcer to proclaim among the people, "Allah and His Messenger forbid you from eating the flesh of domesticated donkeys."The cooking pots were then overturned while they were still bubbling with the meat.

أن رسول الله ﷺ جاءه جاء فقال أكلت الحمر فسكت ثم أتاه الثانية فقال أكلت الحمر فسكت ثم أتاه الثالثة فقال أفنيت الحمر فأمر مناديا فنادى في الناس إن الله ورسوله ينهيانكم عن لحوم الحمر الأهلية فأكفئت القدور وإنها لتفور باللحم
