We came upon Khaybar early in the morning, and its people came out carrying their spades. When they caught sight of the Prophet ﷺ, they cried out, "Muhammad, by Allah! Muhammad and his army!"The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah is the Greatest! Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend upon a people's territory, "evil is the morning of those who were warned" [Saffat 37:177]."We then took some of the meat of the donkeys, but the Prophet's ﷺ caller announced, "Allah and His Messenger forbid you from the meat of donkeys, for it is impure."
