The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Khaybar at night, and whenever he came upon a people by night, he would not raid them until morning. When morning came, the Jews went out with their shovels and baskets. When they saw him, they cried out, "Muhammad, by Allah! Muhammad and his army!"The Prophet ﷺ said, "Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend upon the territory of a people, "evil is the morning of those who were warned" [Saffat 37:177]."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف أخبرنا مالك عن حميد الطويل
أن رسول الله ﷺ أتى خيبر ليلا وكان إذا أتى قوما بليل لم يغر بهم حتى يصبح فلما أصبح خرجت اليهود بمساحيهم ومكاتلهم فلما رأوه قالوا محمد والله محمد والخميس فقال النبي ﷺ خربت خيبر إنا إذا نزلنا بساحة قوم {فساء صباح المنذرين}
