The Prophet ﷺ performed the dawn prayer near Khaybar while it was still dark, then he said, "Allah is the Greatest. Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend on the territory of a people, "evil is the morning of those who were warned" [Saffat 37:177]."The people came out running through the alleys, and the Prophet ﷺ killed the fighters and took the children captive. Among the captives was Safiyya, who first went to Dihya Kalbi, then passed to the Prophet ﷺ, who made her freedom her dowry.Abdul-Aziz bin Suhayb said to Thabit, "Abu Muhammad, did you ask Anas what her dowry was?"Thabit nodded his head in confirmation.
حدثنا سليمان بن حرب حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن ثابت
صلى النبي ﷺ الصبح قريبا من خيبر بغلس ثم قال الله أكبر خربت خيبر إنا إذا نزلنا بساحة قوم {فساء صباح المنذرين} فخرجوا يسعون في السكك فقتل النبي ﷺ المقاتلة وسبى الذرية وكان في السبي صفية فصارت إلى دحية الكلبي ثم صارت إلى النبي ﷺ فجعل عتقها صداقها فقال عبد العزيز بن صهيب لثابت يا أبا محمد آنت قلت لأنس ما أصدقها فحرك ثابت رأسه تصديقا له
