Abdullah bin Umar reported,

رضي الله عنهم said, During the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ, whenever a man saw a dream he would relate it to the Prophet ﷺ. So I wished that I might see a dream and relate it to the Prophet ﷺ. I was a young unmarried man, and in the days of the Prophet ﷺ I used to sleep in the masjid. Then I saw in a dream that two angels took hold of me and carried me off to the Fire. It was walled round like the walling of a well, and it had two posts like the two posts of a well, and in it were people whom I recognized. I began to say, "I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire. I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire."Then another angel met the two of them and said to me, "You have nothing to fear."I related the dream to Hafsah, and Hafsah related it to the Prophet ﷺ.He said, "What an excellent man Abdullah is, if only he would pray during the night."Salim said, After that Abdullah slept only a little of the night.
