Tawus reported,

Ibn Abbas spoke about the verse "except affection toward kinship" [Shura 42:23].Saeed bin Jubayr said, "It means kinship with Muhammad ﷺ."Ibn Abbas replied, "There was not a single clan of Quraysh in which the Prophet ﷺ did not have some tie of kinship, so what was revealed to him meant, except that you honor the kinship between me and you."
