The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "If the wealth of Bahrain comes to us, I will give you this much, and this much, and this much."When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away and the wealth of Bahrain arrived, Abu Bakr announced, "Whoever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made a promise to should come to me."So I went to him and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me, 'If the wealth of Bahrain comes to us, I will give you this much, and this much, and this much.'"Abu Bakr said to me, "Scoop up a handful."So I scooped up a handful.He said, "Count it."I counted it, and it came to five hundred. Then he gave me one thousand five hundred.
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم قال أخبرني روح بن القاسم عن محمد بن المنكدر
كان رسول الله ﷺ قال لي لو قد جاءنا مال البحرين قد أعطيتك هكذا وهكذا وهكذا فلما قبض رسول الله ﷺ وجاء مال البحرين قال أبو بكر من كانت له عند رسول الله ﷺ عدة فليأتني فأتيته فقلت إن رسول الله ﷺ قد كان قال لي لو قد جاءنا مال البحرين لأعطيتك هكذا وهكذا وهكذا فقال لي احثه فحثوت حثية فقال لي عدها فعددتها فإذا هي خمس مائة فأعطاني ألفا وخمس مائة
