The Prophet ﷺ called the Ansar to grant them a written deed for Bahrain. They said, "No, by Allah, not unless you grant our brothers from Quraysh the same."He kept offering it to them as long as Allah willed, while they kept giving him the same reply.He said, "After me, you will see others preferred over you. So be patient until you meet me at the Pool."
حدثنا أحمد بن يونس حدثنا زهير عن يحيى بن سعيد قال سمعت
دعا النبي ﷺ الأنصار ليكتب لهم بالبحرين فقالوا لا والله حتى تكتب لإخواننا من قريش بمثلها فقال ذاك لهم ما شاء الله على ذلك يقولون له قال فإنكم سترون بعدي أثرة فاصبروا حتى تلقوني على الحوض
