Abu Musa Ashari reported,

News of the Prophet's ﷺ emigration reached us while we were in Yemen, so we set out as emigrants to join him. I went with two of my brothers, I being the youngest of them, one was Abu Burda and the other Abu Ruhm, along with either some fifty-odd, or fifty-three, or fifty-two men from my people. We boarded a ship, but our ship cast us ashore at the court of the Negus in Abyssinia, where we found Jafar bin Abu Talib and his companions already with him.Jafar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us here and ordered us to remain, so stay with us." So we remained with him until we all came together to the Prophet ﷺ, meeting him just as he had conquered Khaybar. He allotted us a share from it, or he said, he gave us from it. He did not allot any of its spoils to anyone who had been absent from the conquest of Khaybar, except to those who were present with him, with the sole exception of the companions of our ship along with Jafar and his companions, for he gave them a share alongside the others.
