Ayesha reported,

We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the months of Hajj, the nights of Hajj, and the sacred period of Hajj. We camped at Sarif, and he came out to his companions and said, "Whoever among you has not brought a sacrificial animal and wishes to make it an Umrah may do so, but whoever has brought the sacrificial animal should not."She said, Some of his companions accepted this, while others did not. As for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and some of his companions, they were men of strength and had brought sacrificial animals, so they could not perform Umrah. She said, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in to me while I was weeping. He asked, "What makes you weep, dear one?"I replied, "I heard what you told your companions, and now I am prevented from performing Umrah."He asked, "What is the matter with you?"I said, "I cannot pray."He said, "That will not harm you. You are simply one of the daughters of Adam. Allah has decreed for you what He has decreed for them. Continue with your Hajj, and perhaps Allah will grant you Umrah as well."She said, So we proceeded with his Hajj until we reached Mina. I became pure, then I left Mina and performed the tawaf around the House. She said, Then I set out with him on the final departure until he camped at al-Muhassab, and we camped with him. He called Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr and said, "Take your sister outside the sanctuary so she may enter the state of ihram for Umrah, then complete it and come back here. I will be waiting for you both until you return."She said, So we went out, and when she finished and I finished the tawaf, I came to him at the time before dawn.He asked, "Have you finished?"I said, "Yes."So he announced the departure to his companions, and the people set out, and he passed on, heading toward Madinah.
