I asked Abdullah bin Amr about the worst thing the polytheists did to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.He said, "I saw Uqba bin Abu Muayt come to the Prophet ﷺ while he was praying. He put his cloak around his neck and throttled him violently with it. Then Abu Bakr came and pushed him away from him and said, "Would you kill a man for saying, my Lord is Allah, when he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord?" [Ghafir 40:28]"
