I saw Saaib bin Yazid at ninety-four years old, strong and well-built. He said, "I know that I have been granted the enjoyment of my hearing and my sight only through the supplication of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. My maternal aunt took me to him and said, 'Messenger of Allah, my nephew is unwell, so pray to Allah for him.' So he supplicated for me."
Bukhari related it in Manaqib (3540), from Ishaq bin Ibrahim, who said, Fadl bin Musa informed us, from Juayd bin Abdul-Rahman, and he mentioned it. Muslim related it in Fadail (111:2345) through another route, from Jad bin Abdul-Rahman, similarly.
