Jibreel came to the Prophet ﷺ one day while he was sitting sorrowful, stained with blood, for some of the people of Mecca had struck him.Jibreel asked him, "What is the matter with you?"He replied, "These people did such and such to me."Jibreel said, "Would you like me to show you a sign?"He answered, "Yes."He looked toward a tree beyond the valley and said, "Call that tree."So he called it, and it came walking until it stood before him.Then Jibreel said, "Command it to return."He commanded it, and it returned to its place.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is enough for me."
جاء جبريل إلى النبي ﷺ ذات يوم، وهو جالس حزينا قد خضب بالدماء، ضربه بعض أهل مكة، قال: فقال له: ما لك؟ قال: فقال له: فعل بي هؤلاء وفعلوا قال: فقال له جبريل عليه السلام: أتحب أن أريك آية؟ قال: نعم قال: فنظر إلى شجرة من وراء الوادي، فقال: ادع بتلك الشجرة، فدعاها فجاءت تمشي، حتى قامت بين يديه، فقال: مرها فلترجع، فأمرها فرجعت إلى مكانها، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: حسبي
Ibn Majah (4208), Ahmad (12112), and Darimi (23) all narrated it through Abu Muawiya, from Amash, from Abu Sufyan (that is, Talha bin Nafi), from Anas bin Malik, who related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Sufyan Talha bin Nafi, for his hadith is hasan.
