The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been sent with comprehensive speech, and I have been aided with awe striking the hearts of my enemies. While I was sleeping, the keys to the treasures of the earth were brought and placed in my hand."Abu Hurairah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has departed, and you are now extracting those treasures."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: بعثت بجوامع الكلم، ونصرت بالرعب، فبينا أنا نائم أتيت بمفاتيح خزائن الأرض، فوضعت في يدي. قال أبو هريرة: وقد ذهب رسول الله ﷺ وأنتم تنتثلونها.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions (2977), and Muslim in the Book of Mosques (6:523), through various routes from Ibn Shihab, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, who narrated it.Abu Hurairah said, "So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left while you were extracting it," meaning, you were taking out what was in it.
