The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been given what no other prophet has been given."We asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is it?"He replied, "I have been aided with awe, I have been given the keys of the earth, I have been named Ahmad, the dust has been made a means of purification for me, and my nation has been made the best of nations."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: أعطيت ما لم يعط أحد من الأنبياء فقلنا: يا رسول الله، ما هو؟ قال: نصرت بالرعب، وأعطيت مفاتح الأرض، وسميت أحمد، وجعل التراب لي طهورا، وجعلت أمتي خير الأمم.
Ahmad (763) and Ibn Abu Shayba (11/434) narrated it through Zuhayr (that is, Ibn Muhammad Tamimi), from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, from Muhammad bin Ali bin Hanafiyyah, that he heard Ali bin Abu Talib mention it. Its isnad is hasan because of Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, for his hadith is hasan. There has been disagreement over its isnad, and Abu Zura judged sound this version which I have mentioned, as Ibn Abu Hatim reported in Al-Ilal (question 2705).
