The Prophet ﷺ said, "I was given victory through the easterly wind, and Aad was destroyed by the westerly wind."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: نصرت بالصبا، وأهلكت عاد بالدبور.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Military Expeditions (4105) and Muslim in the Book of the Prayer for Rain (17:900), both through the route of Shubah, who said, Hakam narrated to me, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, and then he mentioned it.His saying, "I was granted victory by the Saba," is with a fatha on the unpointed letter and a lightened unvoweled letter, and it is the eastern wind. His saying, "the Dabur," is the western wind.
