The ring of the Prophet ﷺ was on this finger, and he pointed to the little finger of his left hand.
كان خاتم النبي ﷺ في هذه، وأشار إلى الخنصر من يده اليسرى.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Clothing (63:2095), from Abu Bakr bin Khallad al-Bahili, who said, Abdul-Rahman bin Mahdi told us, Hammad bin Salama told us, from Thabit, from Anas, and he related it.The two hadiths should be understood as referring to two different occasions, so that he would sometimes wear it on the right and sometimes on the left. This is preferable to declaring one of them daif.
