Abu Dawud (4027), Tirmidhi in the Sunan (1765) and in Shamail (56), and Nasai in Kubra (9666) all narrated it through various routes from Muaz bin Hisham, who said, "My father narrated to me," from Budayl bin Maysara Aqeeli, from Shahr bin Hawshab, from Asma bint Yazid bin Sakan Ansariyah, and he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Shahr bin Hawshab, for his hadith is hasan when he does not narrate something objectionable.Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith."In the narration of Abu Shaykh (p. 91), and from him Baghawi (3073), "The sleeve of the Prophet's ﷺ shirt came below the wrist."Perhaps this is a description of another shirt, one of two that Asma bint Yazid described on two different occasions. The wrist (rusgh) is the end of the palm at the joint. Rasgh and rusgh are two dialectal variants of the same word.
