The sandals of the Prophet ﷺ each had two straps.In another wording, Anas brought out to us two worn sandals, each with two straps. Thabit Bunani later told me, on the authority of Anas, that these were the sandals of the Prophet ﷺ.
أن نعل النبي ﷺ كان لها قبالان. وفي لفظ: أخرج إلينا أنس نعلين جرداوين لهما قبالان فحدثني ثابت البناني بعد عن أنس أنهما نعلا النبي ﷺ.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on clothing (5857) from Hajjaj bin Minhal, who said, Hammam narrated to us, from Qatada, from Anas, who said, and then he related it.The other wording was also narrated by Bukhari in the chapter on the obligation of khums (3107) from Abdullah bin Muhammad, who said, Muhammad bin Abdullah Asadi narrated to us, who said, Isa bin Tahman narrated to us, and he said, and then he related it.His saying, "the qibal", refers to the strap of the sandal, which is the strip that goes between the toes.His saying, "jardawayn", means that there was no hair on them.
