There was a panic in Madinah, so the Prophet ﷺ borrowed a horse from Abu Talha called al-Mandub and rode out. When he returned, he said, "We saw nothing alarming, but we found this horse to be like a sea."
كان بالمدينة فزع، فاستعار النبي ﷺ فرسا لأبي طلحة يقال له: المندوب فركب، فلما رجع قال: ما رأينا من شيء، وإن وجدنا لبحرا.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Gifts (2627) and in the Book of Manners (6212), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Virtues (2307:49), both of them via Shubah, from Qatada, who said, "I heard Anas say," and he mentioned it.
