When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina, Abu Talha took me by the hand and brought me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, Anas is a clever boy, so let him serve you."So I served him at home and on journeys, and by Allah, he never once said about anything I did, "Why did you do this in this way?" nor about anything I failed to do, "Why did you not do this in this way?"
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Wills (2768) and in the Book of Blood Money (6911), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Virtues (2309:52), both of them via Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Ulayyah, who said, Abdul-Aziz narrated to us, from Anas, who said, then he mentioned it.
