Anas reported, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the finest of people in character. One day he sent me on an errand, and I said to myself, 'By Allah, I will not go,' though inwardly I did intend to go where the Prophet of Allah ﷺ had instructed me. So I set out and came upon some boys playing in the marketplace. Suddenly, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ grabbed me by the back of my neck from behind."Anas continued, "I looked at him, and he was laughing. He said, 'Unays, did you go where I told you to go?'I replied, 'Yes, I am going now, Messenger of Allah.'"
كان رسول الله ﷺ من أحسن الناس خلقا، فأرسلني يوما لحاجة، فقلت: والله لا أذهب وفي نفسي أن أذهب لما أمرني به نبي الله ﷺ. فخرجت حتى أمر على صبيان وهم يلعبون في السوق، فإذا رسول الله ﷺ قد قبض بقفاي من روائي قال: فنظرت إليه وهو يضحك فقال: يا أنيس أذهبت حيث أمرتك؟ قال: قلت: نعم أنا أذهب يا رسول الله.
