The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was neither excessively tall nor short, neither pure white nor dark-skinned, and his hair was neither tightly curled nor completely straight. Allah the Exalted sent him as a prophet at the age of forty. He stayed in Makkah for ten years and in Madinah for ten years, and Allah took his soul at the age of sixty. There were not twenty white hairs on his head and beard combined.
كان رسول الله ﷺ ليس بالطويل البائن، ولا بالقصير، ولا بالأبيض الأمهق، ولا بالآدم، ولا بالجعد القطط، ولا بالسبط، بعثه الله تعالى على رأس أربعين سنة، فأقام بمكة عشر سنين، وبالمدينة عشر سنين، وتوفاه الله على رأس ستين سنة، وليس في رأسه ولحيته عشرون شعرة بيضاء.
Malik narrated it in the description of the Prophet (1), from Rabia bin Abu Abdul-Rahman, from Anas bin Malik, who said, and then he mentioned it. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Virtues (3548) and in the Book of Dress (5900), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Virtues (2347:113), both of them through the route of Malik, with the same wording.His saying, "He was not conspicuously tall," means excessively tall. His saying, "amhaq" refers to an unpleasant paleness. His saying, "jad" is the opposite of "sabt." "Sabt" means flowing, straight hair.His saying, "He remained in Makkah for ten years," the correct account is that he remained in Makkah for thirteen years, and he passed away at the age of sixty-three, as stated in the numerous other narrations. This narration should therefore be understood as the narrator having dropped the fraction beyond ten and beyond sixty.
