Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

He said regarding the Farewell Pilgrimage, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ proceeded until he reached Arafah, where he found that the tent had been pitched for him at Namirah. He dismounted there, and when the sun had passed its zenith, he ordered that Qaswa, his camel, be saddled for him.He came to the bottom of the valley and addressed the people, saying, "Your blood and your property are sacred to you, just as this day of yours is sacred, in this month of yours, in this land of yours. Behold, every matter from the days of ignorance is placed beneath my feet. The blood-feuds of the days of ignorance are abolished, and the first blood-claim of ours that I abolish is the blood of the son of Rabia bin Harith, who was being nursed among the Banu Saad when Huzayl killed him. The usury of the days of ignorance is abolished, and the first usury that I abolish is our own usury, the usury of Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib. It is all abolished.Fear Allah concerning women, for you have taken them as a trust from Allah, and you have made their private parts lawful by the word of Allah. Your right over them is that they should not allow anyone you dislike to sit on your bed. If they do so, then strike them, but not severely. Their right over you is that you provide for them and clothe them in a fitting manner.I have left among you something which, if you hold fast to it, you will never go astray, the Book of Allah. You will be asked about me, so what will you say?"They replied, "We bear witness that you have conveyed the message, fulfilled your trust, and given sincere counsel."Then he raised his index finger toward the sky and pointed it at the people, saying, "Allah, bear witness. Allah, bear witness. Allah, bear witness," three times.

عن جابر بن عبد الله

قال في قصة حجة الوداع: فأجاز رسول الله ﷺ حتى أتى عرفة، فوجد الفبة قد ضربت له بنمرة، فنزل بها حتى إذا زاغت الشمس أمر بالقصواء فرحلت له، فأتى بطن الوادي فخطب الناس، وقال: إن دماءكم وأموالكم حرام عليكم، كحرمة يومكم هذا، في شهركم هذا، في بلدكم هذا، ألا كل شيء من أمر الجاهلية تحت قدمي موضوع، ودماء الجاهلية موضوعة، وإن أول دم أضع من دمائنا دم ابن ربيعة بن الحارث، كان مسترضعا في بني سعد فقتلته هذيل، وربا الجاهلية موضوع، وأول ربا أضع ربانا، ربا عباس بن عبد المطلب، فإنه موضوع كله، فاتقوا الله في النساء، فإنكم أخذتموهن بأمان الله واستحللتم فروجهن بكلمة الله، ولكم عليهن أن لا يوطئن فرشكم أحدا تكرهونه، فإن فعلن ذلك فاضربوهن ضربا غيرمبرح، ولهن عليكم رزقهن وكسوتهن بالمعروف، وقد تركت فيكم ما لن تضلوا بعده إن اعتصمتم به كتاب الله، وأنتم تسألون عني فما أنتم قائلون؟ قالوا: نشهد أنك قد بلغت وأديت ونصحت، فقال بإصبعه السبابة- يرفعها إلى السماء وينكتها إلى الناس-: اللهم اشهد اللهم اشهد ثلاث مرات.
