The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people on the day Makkah was conquered, saying, "People, Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the age of ignorance and its boasting about ancestors. So people are of two kinds, the righteous and pure, who is honored in Allah's sight, and the wicked and wretched, who is contemptible in Allah's sight. All people are the children of Adam, and Allah created Adam from dust. Allah has said, 'People, We created you from a male and a female and made you into peoples and tribes so that you might come to know one another. The noblest of you in Allah's sight is the most God-fearing among you. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware'" [Hujurat 49:13].
أن رسول الله ﷺ خطب الناس يوم فتح مكة، فقال: يا أيها الناس إن الله قد أذهب عنكم عبية الجاهلية، وتعاظمها بآبائها، فالناس رجلان: بر نقي كريم على الله، وفاجر شقي هين على الله، والناس بنو آدم وخلق الله آدم من تراب، قال الله: {يأيها الناس إنا خلقنكم من ذكر وأنثى وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل لتعارفوا إن أكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم إن الله عليم خبير} [الحجرات: ١٣].
Tirmidhi (3270) narrated it from Ali bin Hajar, who said, Abdullah bin Jafar informed us, who said, Abdullah bin Dinar told us, from Ibn Umar, who said, and then he mentioned it. Tirmidhi said, "This is a gharib hadith. We do not know it from the hadith of Abdullah bin Dinar, from Ibn Umar, except by this route. Abdullah bin Jafar has been graded daif by Yahya bin Main and others, and Abdullah bin Jafar is the father of Ali bin Madini."I say, it is not as he said, for it was also narrated by Musa bin Ubayda Rabazi, from Abdullah bin Dinar, and Abd bin Humayd (795) narrated it by this route, mentioning the same, adding at the end, then he said, "I say this, and I ask Allah's forgiveness for myself and for you." Musa bin Ubayda Rabazi has also been criticized, and his narrations from Abdullah bin Dinar have been criticized, except that Ibn Main said, "The soft-hearted narrations from his hadith are to be recorded." And this is one of them. With these two chains together, the hadith rises to the level of hasan.His saying, "the pride of the pre-Islamic era," means its arrogance.
