The Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon on the day of the conquest of Makkah and said, "There is no god but Allah alone. He aided His servant and defeated the confederates by Himself."Hushaym said on another occasion, "All praise belongs to Allah, who fulfilled His promise and aided His servant. Behold, every claim to glory from the days of ignorance, every boast counted and laid claim to, and every blood feud or pending claim is now beneath these two feet of mine, except for the custodianship of the House and the provision of water to the pilgrims. Behold, one killed unintentionally" — Hushaym said on one occasion, "by a whip, a stick, or a stone" — "his blood-money is a heavier compensation, one hundred camels, forty of which are pregnant with their young."On another occasion he said, "Forty ranging from a six-year-old camel to a nine-year-old, all of them pregnant."
أن النبي ﷺ خطب يوم فتح مكة، فقال: لا إله إلا الله وحده، نصر عبده وهزم الأحزاب وحده قال هشيم مرة أخرى: الحمد لله الذي صدق وعده، ونصر عبده، ألا إن كل مأثرة كانت في الجاهلية، تعد وتدعى، وكل دم أو دعوى موضوعة تحت قدمي هاتين إلا سدانة البيت، وسقاية الحاج ألا وإن قتيل خطأ العمد قال هشيم مرة: بالسوط والعصا والحجر دية مغلظة: مئة من الإبل منها أربعون في بطونها أولادها وقال مرة: أربعون من ثنية إلى بازل عامها كلهن خلفة.
Ahmad (15388) narrated it from Hushaym, who reported to us from Khalid, from Qasim bin Rabia bin Jawshan, from Uqba bin Aws, from a man among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned it. Its chain is sahih. Khalid here is al-Hadhdha. The unnamed companion is Abdullah bin Amr bin As. The compilers of the Sunan accepted this sermon and included it in their books, both at length and in abridged form, as was mentioned earlier in the Book of Legal Punishments.On this subject there is also what was narrated from Abdullah bin Umar, who said, Khuza were allies of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, while Banu Bakr, a clan from Banu Kinana, were allies of Abu Sufyan. He then mentioned the hadith and said, So Allah granted the conquest of Makkah, and when he entered it he leaned his back against the Kaaba and said, "Hold back your weapons, except Khuza against Bakr." He did not mention in it the phrase "until the Asr prayer," and he related the hadith in a similar manner.Ibn Hibban (5996) narrated it with his chain. In it is Sinan bin Harith bin Musrif. Ibn Hibban mentioned him among his trustworthy narrators and narrated from him, but no one else declared him trustworthy. Ibn Abu Hatim mentioned him in Al-Jarh wal-Tadil but said nothing about him.
