The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people in the year of the Conquest while standing on a step of the Kaabah. After praising Allah, part of what he said was, "People, every pact made during the days of ignorance is only strengthened by Islam. There is no new pact in Islam, and there is no migration after the Conquest. The Muslims are as one hand against all others. Their blood is of equal value. A believer is not killed in retaliation for a disbeliever. The blood-money of a disbeliever is half that of a Muslim. There is no shighar marriage in Islam, no janab, and no jalab. Their charitable dues are to be collected at their own homes. The protection granted by the lowest of the Muslims is binding upon them all, and the spoils gained by the farthest of them are to be shared with the rest."Then he descended.
Imam Ahmad (7012) narrated it from Ibrahim bin Abu Abbas and Husayn bin Muhammad, who said, Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Zinad narrated to us, from Abdul-Rahman bin Harith bin Abdullah bin Ayyash bin Abu Rabia, from Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb.
