Salama bin Akwa reported,

Salama said, "We raided the tribe of Fazara, and our commander was Abu Bakr, whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had appointed over us. When we were about an hour away from their water source, Abu Bakr ordered us to halt and rest. Then he launched the attack and reached the water. He killed those who were killed there and took captives.I was watching a group of people among whom were women and children, and I feared they would reach the mountain before me. So I shot an arrow that landed between them and the mountain. When they saw the arrow, they stopped. I then brought them back, driving them along. Among them was a woman from the tribe of Fazara wearing a leather covering," (he said, the qashʿ is a leather mat), "and with her was her daughter, one of the most beautiful women among the Arabs.I drove them along until I brought them to Abu Bakr, who gave me her daughter as a reward. We arrived in Medina, and I had not so much as uncovered a single garment of hers. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me in the marketplace and said, "Salama, give me the woman."I said, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ, by Allah, I find her pleasing, and I have not uncovered a single garment of hers."The next day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me again in the marketplace and said to me, "Salama, give me the woman, may your father be honored by Allah."I said, "She is yours, Messenger of Allah. By Allah, I have not uncovered a single garment of hers."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then sent her to the people of Mecca and ransomed in exchange for her a number of Muslims who had been held captive in Mecca.

عن سلمة بن الأكوع قال

غزونا فزارة وعلينا أبو بكر، أمره رسول الله ﷺ، علينا، فلما كان بيننا وبين الماء ساعة، أمرنا أبو بكر فعرسنا، ثم شن الغارة فورد الماء، فقتل من قتل عليه، وسبى، وأنظر إلى عنق من الناس فيهم، الذراري فخشيت أن يسبقوني إلى الجبل، فرميت بسهم بينهم وبين الجبل، فلما رأوا السهم وقفوا، فجئت بهم أسوقهم، وفيهم امرأة من بني فزارة عليها قشع من أدم (قال: القشع النطع). معها ابنة لها من أحسن العرب فسقتهم حتى أتيت بهم أبا بكر فنفعني أبو بكر ابنتها، فقدمنا المدينة وما كشفت لها ثوبا، فلقيني رسول الله ﷺ في السوق، فقال: يا سلمة هب لي المرأة فقلت: يارسول الله ﷺ! والله! لقد أعجبتني، وما كشفت لها ثوبا، ثم لقيني رسول الله ﷺ من الغد في السوق، فقال لي: يا سلمة! هب لي المرأة، لله أبوك! فقلت: هي لك يا رسول الله! فوالله ما كشفت لها ثوبا، فبعث بها رسول الله ﷺ إلى أهل مكة، ففدى بها ناسا من المسلمين، كانوا أسروا بمكة.
