I was present with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the conquest of Khaybar. When they were defeated, we fell upon their belongings, and the people seized whatever household goods they could find. Before long, the cooking pots came to a boil. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that the pots be overturned, then he divided the spoils among us, allotting one sheep for every ten men.
Ahmad (19058), Darimi (2513), and Hakim (2/134) narrated it via Zakariya bin Adi, who said, Ubaydullah bin Amr Raqqi told us, from Zayd bin Abu Unaysa, from Qays bin Muslim, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Layla, from his father, and he related it, the wording being Ahmad's. Its isnad is sahih, though there is disagreement about it going back to Ubaydullah bin Amr Raqqi. However, Darimi said, "In my view, what Zakariya said regarding the isnad is correct." And Hakim said, "A hadith sahih in isnad."
