Miswar bin Makhrama and Marwan bin Hakam reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned in the year of Hudaybiyah, and Surah al-Fath was revealed to him between Mecca and Medina, in which Allah granted him Khaybar. "Allah has promised you abundant spoils that you will take, and He has hastened this one for you" [Fath 48:20].The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Dhul-Hijjah and remained in Medina until he set out for Khaybar in Muharram. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ camped at Raji, a valley between Khaybar and Ghatafan, fearing that Ghatafan might reinforce the people of Khaybar. He spent the night there until morning, then advanced against them.

عن مروان بن الحكم والمسور بن مخرمة قالا

انصرف رسول الله ﷺ عام الحديبية، فنزلت عليه سورة الفتح فيما بين مكة والمدينة، فأعطاه الله عز وجل فيها خيبر. {وعدكم الله مغانم كثيرة تأخذونها فعجل لكم هذه} [الفتح: ٢٠]. فقدم رسول الله ﷺ ذي الحجة، فأقام بها حتى سار إلى خيبر في المحرم، فنزل رسول الله ﷺ بالرجيع- واد بين خيبر وغطفان- فتخوف أن تمدهم غطفان فبات بها حتى أصبح. فغدا إليه.
