The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever climbs the pass of Murar..." or "Murar..." with a narration similar to that of Muaz, except that he said, "And there he was, an Arabi who had come searching for a lost camel of his."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من تسور ثنية المرار أو المرار بمثل حديث معاذ غير أنه قال: وإذا هو أعرابي جاء ينشد ضالة له.
Bukhari narrated it in the Characteristics of the Hypocrites (13:2880) from Yahya bin Harithi, who said, Khalid bin Harith told us, Qurrah told us, Abu Zubayr told us, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who mentioned it.
