When Haram bin Milhan, who was his maternal uncle, was stabbed on the day of Bir Mauna, he took some of his blood like this and sprinkled it over his face and head, then said, "I have triumphed, by the Lord of the Kaabah."
لما طعن حرام بن ملحان وكان خاله يوم بئر معونة قال بالدم هكذا. فنضحه على وجهه ورأسه ثم قال: فزت ورب الكعبة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Military Expeditions (4092) from Habban, who said, Abdullah narrated to us, who said, Maamar informed me, who said, Thumama bin Abdullah bin Anas narrated to me, that he heard Anas bin Malik, and he mentioned it.
