The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Hamza, whose body had been mutilated, and said, "Were it not that Safiyyah would feel grief in her heart, I would have left him for the wild beasts to consume, so that he would be resurrected from their bellies."
أن رسول الله ﷺ مر على حمزة، وقد مثل به، فقال: لولا أن تجد صفية في نفسها لتركته حتى تأكله العافية حتى يحشر من بطونها.
Reported by Abu Dawud (3136), Tirmidhi (1016), Ahmad (12300), and Hakim (1/365), all of them through routes from Usama bin Zayd, from Zuhri, from Anas, who mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Usama bin Zayd, who is al-Laythi, for his hadith is hasan.
