Abu Ishaq reported,

I heard Bara bin Azib narrate, saying, "On the day of Uhud, the Prophet ﷺ placed Abdullah bin Jubayr in command of the foot archers, who numbered fifty men. He said to them, 'If you see us being snatched away by birds, do not leave this position of yours until I send for you. And if you see us defeating the enemy and trampling them down, still do not leave until I send for you.'The Muslims defeated them. By Allah, I saw the women fleeing with their anklets and legs exposed, lifting up their garments.The companions of Ibn Jubayr said, 'The spoils, people, the spoils! Your companions have prevailed, so what are you waiting for?'Abdullah bin Jubayr said, 'Have you forgotten what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told you?'They replied, 'By Allah, we will go to the people and get our share of the spoils.'But when they reached them, they were turned back and came retreating in defeat. That was when the Messenger was calling out to them from their rear. Only twelve men remained with the Prophet ﷺ, and the enemy struck down seventy of us. The Prophet ﷺ and his companions had struck down one hundred and forty of the polytheists at Badr, seventy captives and seventy killed..." and the rest of the hadith.

عن أبي إسحاق قال

سمعت البراء بن عازب- رضي الله عنهما- يحدث قال: جعل النبي ﷺ على الرجالة يوم أحد- وكانوا خمسين رجلا- عبد الله بن جبير، فقال: إن رأيتمونا تخطفنا الطير فلا تبرحوا مكانكم هذا حتى أرسل إليكم، وإن رأيتمونا هزمنا القوم وأوطأناهم فلا تبرحوا حتى أرسل إليكم، فهزموهم، قال: فأنا والله رأيت النساء يشددن قد بدت خلاخلهن وأسوقهن، رافعات ثيابهن فقال أصحاب ابن جبير: الغنيمة أي قوم الغنيمة، ظهر أصحابكم فما تنتظرون؟ فقال عبد الله بن جبير: أنسيتم ما قال لكم رسول الله ﷺ؟ قالوا: والله لنأتين الناس فلنصيبن من الغنيمة فلما أتوهم صرفت وجوههم، فأقبلوا منهزمين، فذاك إذ يدعوهم الرسول في أخراهم، فلم يبق مع النبي ﷺ غير اثني عشر رجلا، فأصابوا منا سبعين، وكان النبي ﷺ وأصحابه أصاب من المشركين يوم بدر أربعين ومائة: سبعين أسيرا، وسبعين قتيلا… الحديث.
